Jerry Stephens, a former boxer for 32 years, is the owner of Road to Glory Stephens Boxing
and Fitness Gym in Shreveport, Louisiana. His gym is holding the “Night of Champions Boxing Tournament” today. Stephens partnered with the Right Way Foundation, which is helping to put on today’s event and is working with the Right Way Foundation to open a gym in the Shreveport community.
The Right Way foundation was started in the 1990’s as a nonprofit organization whose goal is to help troubled young people and their families in becoming productive, successful people in the community. They are using today’s boxing event to bring more attention to the foundation and to get young people more involved in the their organization.
They hope that the boxing gym will help to give young people in the Shreveport area another option to keep them out of trouble on the streets. Lloyd Relifor, director of the Right Way Foundation, says that he often sees youth cruising the streets in Shreveport looking for something to do. He feels that boxing will give them something fun and interesting to do while at the same time promoting their overall health and fitness.
You can read more about the story at the Shreveport Times.

I love your website. My son, Nathan boxes. His trainer is “Mud” Jeff Singletary. We are in Gonzales, LA. There is a fight, I believe either the first or second week of August, somewhere in Shreveport, Louisiana. Do you possibly know where this fight is to be held. I’m trying to get driving directions. Nathan would like to fight in that event. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
